Bachelor of Business Administration (top-up) at Westcliff University, California, USA

This is a two stage programme where students can either top-up their LEB qualifications:

  • online with Westcliff (and receive a 50% reduction to your tuition fees); or
  • be issued an I-20 so you can apply for an F1 student visa to study on campus at Westcliff University in California (and receive a 20% reduction on your tuition fees)

Students who have successfully completed the LEB:

  1. Diploma in Business Administration are considered to possess the equivalent to a high school diploma and as such are eligible to apply to the BBA.  Students will be required to undertake the 120 semester credits at WU (4 years)
  2. Extended Diploma in Business Administration will receive 24 transfer credits and will therefore be required to undertake a further 96 semester credits at WU (3 years)
  3. Higher Diploma in Business Administration will receive 54 transfer credits and will therefore be required to undertake a further 66 semester credits at WU (2 years)

Tuition fees charged by Westcliff as at February 2023 are as follows:

  • Online tuition fees: 50% off for LEB Students
  • On campus tuition fees: 20% off for LEB Students

At Westcliff University, BBA students become knowledgeable about a wide variety of disciplines, including finance, accounting, marketing, operations, sales, and information technology

Equally important, they teach business from a global perspective. Their curriculum focuses on companies based both in the U.S. and abroad

Westcliff University wants to produce capable and knowledgeable students who manifest an understanding of work and careers and an ability to adapt quickly to the expectations of employers and the work environment. To this end they strive to realize the following set of program outcomes for all our undergraduate Business Majors

The Bachelor of Business Administration encourages students to achieve the following educational objectives:

  1. Differentiate and discuss the functional components of business – economics, marketing, accounting, finance, law, and management
  2. Demonstrate effective presentation of business analyses and recommendations through written forms of communication appropriate to the intended audience
  3. Demonstrate effective presentation of business analyses and recommendations through oral communication of conventions and forms appropriate to the intended audience
  4. Demonstrate the ability to recognize the need for information, be able to identify, locate, evaluate, share and apply the information effectively to facilitate problem-solving and decision-making
  5. Illustrate the value of diversity when developing a global perspective
  6. Use independent, critical thinking and reasoning skills to identify problems and apply problem-solving abilities
  7. Employ a sense of ethics and values which can be applied in a personal and professional environment
  8. Construct and apply aspects of team development and construct for the purpose of solving business problems and attaining organizational goals
  9. Analyze business problems through quantitative reasoning and methods by obtaining, evaluating and interpreting the data

Programme Structure

Students who have completed the level 5 LEB Higher Diploma in Business Administration

LEB graduates will need a further 30 semester credits (10 courses) in General Education and 36 semester credits (12 courses) BBA Core Courses

Total at LEB – 54 semester credits and Total at WU – 66 semester credits. Total at LEB + WU= 120 semester credits

Tuition fees for LEB graduates over both years with WU is US$10,395 (online) or US$22,968 (on campus)

Students who have completed the level 4 LEB Extended Diploma in Business Administration

LEB graduates will need a further 27 semester credits (9 courses) in General Education; 30 semester credits (10 courses) of Electives; and 39 semester credits (13 courses) of BBA Core Courses

Total at LEB – 24 semester credits; Total at WU – 96 semester credits and Total at LEB + WU= 120 semester credits

Tuition fees for LEB graduates over all three years with WU is US$15,120 (online) or US$33,408 (on campus)

Students who have completed the level 3 Diploma in Business Administration

LEB graduates will need to undertake the full 120 semester credits with WU but will receive the corresponding fee reduction afforded to LEB students.

You will need certificates from LEB evidencing your successful completion of LEB Diplomas to receive your exemptions and tuition fee reductions when you enroll with the University

The fees charged by WU may increase in accordance with their fees policy from time to time
