Entry Requirements

Admission into the programme is contingent upon the submission of evidence indicating the candidate’s potential to meet the programme’s objectives.

  • Academic Requirement: A minimum of a Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) Level 5 equivalent.

  • Mature Entry: Mature learners who do not meet traditional entry requirements but have a minimum of 4 years or more of relevant English Language teaching experience may be admitted through an interview or portfolio review.

  • English Language Proficiency: For non-native English speakers, proof of proficiency is required. This can be demonstrated through:

    • Standardized tests like IELTS or TOEFL with a minimum band score of 5.0 (equivalent to a CEFR B1 level).

    • A qualification examined in English at RQF Level 3 or above.

    • Passing an English test administered by ESOL Awards at B1 level.

  • The Board of Examiners has the right to terminate any participant who does not successfully complete all the programme requirements within 8 months from the date of commencement, unless prior extensions have been granted.
