Programme & Curriculum Structure
The Higher Diploma in Data Analytics is a 120-credit programme comprised of 6 modules, each carrying 20 credits. The programme is designed to build knowledge sequentially. Module 1 has no prerequisite; Module 2 requires Module 1; Modules 3–6 require Module 2. Students must complete and submit the assessment for the current module before proceeding to the next module.

Entry Requirements
An applicant may be admitted on the basis of evidence to suggest they will be able to fulfil and benefit from the objectives of the programme.

Academic Requirement: Applicants should normally have a Level 4 (RQF) diploma or equivalent. However, mature entry learners may be accepted without diplomas if they have relevant work experience.

Prior Knowledge: No prior knowledge of data analytics is required to enrol.

Language Proficiency: Applicants must have proficiency in English to participate in the programme taught in English.

Self-Paced Learning: The programme is fully self-paced. There are no live sessions. Students may access and study the learning materials for the assigned module at their convenience within the prescribed learning period.

Sequential Completion: Modules will be undertaken sequentially. Students are required to complete and submit the assessment for the current module before proceeding to the next module.

Academic Support: Academic support and clarification on module content will be available through the appropriate academic support channels.
Assessment & Grading
Assessment is designed to test both your understanding of concepts and your ability to apply them to practical, real-world problems.

Assessment Method: Assessment is purely based on structured assignments for each module. The assignments are completed and submitted by the learner. Learners are expected to complete the prescribed learning materials, instructional videos, application demonstrations and other learning activities for the assigned module before undertaking its assessment.

Sequential Assessment: Students must complete and submit the required assessment for the current module before they can proceed to the next module.

Assignment Weighting: Each module assignment is marked out of 100. The final grade for the programme is the average of the marks scored across all six modules.

Modules 7.1 to 7.4: 7 questions — 6 questions at 15 marks each and 1 question at 10 marks. Recommended word count: 1,000 (Module 7.2: 1,000–1,500). Total: 100 marks.

Modules 7.5 and 7.6: 2 questions at 50 marks each. Recommended word count: 1,000. Total: 100 marks.

Students have the option to complete the programme either within 8 months or 12 months. The maximum duration for the full programme is 12 months. The Board of Examiners has the right to terminate any student who does not successfully complete all the requirements of the programme within 12 months from the date of commencement, unless prior extensions have been granted.
